The French star chess player- Fressinet Laurent
Posted by Chess | Under Uncategorized Monday Aug 2, 2010Fressinet Laurent is a world class chess player, who started creating records with his well sharpened skills and dedication towards the game since very young age. Born in France, he plays to represent his country, and as it is a well known fact, has never ceased to make his country proud of his achievements.
Fressinet Laurent was born in 1st of November, in the year 1981, in a place called Dax (located precisely in the south west of France). Just like most other well known and celebrity chess players, Laurent too began to get fascinated with the game at a very young age. While kids of his age kept themselves amused with the video and computer games, this lad would spend hours with his chess board. He developed a sharp intuition and a great mind practicing day and night and with his gruesome training sessions, which ultimately took him to the winning stands of a number of major chess tournaments across the globe. He finally landed with the title of any chess players dream – the Grandmaster. He is currently married to Almira Skripchenko who is a well known chess player herself.
Fressinet Laurent gained his peak FIDE rating in October 2008, with a jaw dropping figure of 2676. His current FIDE rating is 2658, which took him to the 77th position on the 2009 September rating list of FIDE. Hopefully for this 28 year old, this is just a start of an even brighter career with even bigger record score.
